About
Rabbi Efrem Goldberg is the Senior Rabbi of the Boca Raton Synagogue (BRS) in Boca Raton, Florida, the largest Orthodox synagogue in the Southeast United States, serving over 800 families and more than 1,000 children. He arrived in Boca Raton in 1999 as a member of the Boca Raton Community Kollel, where he founded the BRS Lomei Iyun Torah Center, and has since led the congregation's rapid growth with a warm and welcoming approach. Goldberg is also actively involved in broader Jewish leadership, serving as Vice President of the Rabbinical Council of America (RCA), a member of the Board of Trustees of the Beth Din of America, the Editorial Committee of Tradition journal, and the AIPAC National Council. Goldberg grew up in Teaneck, New Jersey, in a family without a rabbinic background—his father was a businessman—and initially did not anticipate a career in the rabbinate. His education includes two years at Yeshivat Kerem B'Yavneh in Israel, a B.A. in psychology from Yeshiva University, semicha (rabbinic ordination) from the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary at Yeshiva University, and completion of the Advanced Executive Program at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management in 2008. He maintains an active online presence sharing Torah wisdom, inspiration, and commentary on modern challenges, including support for Israel.
