Sami Sagol is an Israeli billionaire businessman of Jewish faith and Turkish-born Israeli ethnicity, born in Turkey in 1942, who immigrated to Israel as a young boy. Initially aspiring to be a scientist, he chose a path in industry instead. His father founded Keter Plastics, a small Israeli company, and in the 1980s, Sami Sagol was awarded management responsibility over it. Under his leadership, he transformed it into the Keter Group, one of the world's leading manufacturers and marketers of consumer plastic products and a global trendsetter in the plastics industry, and he is recognized as a leading industrialist in the plastics sector worldwide. He is also the founder of Sagol Holdings and Winnovation. Sagol combines his successful business career with extensive philanthropy, particularly in Jewish causes including combating antisemitism and supporting Israel-related causes, as well as social involvement and commitment to Israel's future and scientific advancement. He is a major donor and holds an executive position at the World Jewish Congress, with affiliations to organizations like the American Federation for Aging Research, Reichman University, and the Weizmann Institute's Scientific Council, where he serves as a member.
