Robert Michael Schneider, born October 31, 1963, in San Francisco, California, is an American comedian, actor, and screenwriter known for his work on Saturday Night Live (SNL) from 1990 to 1994, where he earned three Primetime Emmy Award nominations, and for starring roles in films like Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo (1999), The Hot Chick (2002), and appearances in Grown Ups (2010). He began his career performing stand-up comedy in San Francisco during high school, opening for local bands, and made his television debut in 1987 on HBO's 13th Annual Young Comedians special hosted by Dennis Miller. Schneider comes from a mixed religious background, with a Jewish father and Catholic mother, which he has incorporated into his comedy routines. In recent years, he has embraced conservative political leanings and become a vocal anti-vaccine activist, with financial ties to conservative media figure Jeremy Boreing.
