About
Jeremy Danial Boreing (born February 5, 1979, in Slaton, Texas) is an American entrepreneur, film producer, director, media executive, conservative political activist, filmmaker, and author. He is the co-founder and co-CEO of The Daily Wire, a conservative media company focused on commentary, news, entertainment, and podcasts, and serves as its chief content officer. Raised in a Christian family in a small Texas town, he developed an early passion for storytelling and performance, beginning his career at the local Garza Regional Theatre as a writer and producer. In 2002, he met aspiring actor Joel David Moore, forming a writing partnership that led Boreing to relocate to Los Angeles in the mid-2000s to pursue opportunities in film production and screenwriting. His early Hollywood work included producing and directing projects like 'The Arroyo,' 'Spiral,' and the 2010 film 'Of Silence,' while also contributing to screenplays for films like 'Swimfan' (2002) and 'The Blood Trail.'
In the 2010s, Boreing shifted focus to conservative media, co-founding TruthRevolt in 2013 (a short-lived platform aimed at countering liberal bias in media that shut down in 2017) before launching The Daily Wire in 2015 alongside Ben Shapiro. As co-founder, co-CEO, and chief content officer of The Daily Wire and its streaming service DailyWire+, Boreing oversees a wide array of productions, including the controversial documentary 'What Is a Woman?' (2022), the film 'Terror on the Prairie' (2022) starring Gina Carano, the sports comedy 'Lady Ballers' (2023), the Jordan Peterson documentary, and earlier films like 'Run Hide Fight' (2020) and 'Shut In' (2022). Under his leadership, the platform has grown into a major conservative outlet, producing podcasts, news, and entertainment that challenge mainstream narratives. Boreing has also spearheaded Bentkey, a family-oriented streaming service launched in 2023 to provide conservative alternatives to mainstream children's programming.
Boreing is known for his outspoken conservative views, often criticizing progressive policies and figures such as President Joe Biden, Disney CEO Bob Iger, and California Governor Gavin Newsom. He has supported Donald Trump, including through sponsorships and content promotion. His media ventures emphasize anti-woke narratives, with The Daily Wire gaining prominence for its role in conservative discourse, especially during elections. Boreing's influence extends through financial backing from investors like Omeed Malik and Farris Wilks, enabling The Daily Wire's expansion. He has faced controversies, including public feuds, such as his attacks on former Daily Wire host Candace Owens amid her departure in 2024 over ideological differences, and criticisms from mainstream media for promoting conservative narratives. His work often intersects politics and culture, positioning him as a key influencer in right-wing media networks, emphasizing faith-based and family-centric content.
