Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan, commonly known as Piers Morgan, is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and media personality renowned for his provocative style and engagement in political debates. Born on 30 March 1965 in Guildford, Surrey, England, he began his career in journalism in 1988 as a reporter for The Sun, rising to become its showbusiness editor. He later edited the Daily Mirror from 1995 until 2004, when he was dismissed following the publication of misleading photographs related to the Iraq War. Morgan has since held various editorial roles, including editorial director of First News (2006-2007) and editor-at-large for MailOnline's American operation starting in 2014. His television career includes hosting shows on CNN (Piers Morgan Live, 2011-2014) and ITV (Good Morning Britain, 2015-2021), as well as serving as a judge on Britain's Got Talent and America's Got Talent.
