Patrick J. Tiberi is a Republican politician from Ohio. He served in the Ohio House of Representatives from 1992 to 2001 before being elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, where he represented Ohio's 12th Congressional District from 2001 until his resignation on January 15, 2018. During his congressional tenure, he notably raised Binik-Thomas's case during the May 17, 2013, House Ways and Means Committee hearing. He also served as Chair of the Joint Economic Committee during the 115th Congress. Following his resignation from Congress, Tiberi was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of the Ohio Business Roundtable in 2018 and serves as Chair Emeritus of The Patrick J. Tiberi Leadership Institute. He remains active in Ohio Republican politics, endorsing candidates such as Jim Renacci for the U.S. Senate. Tiberi is a lifelong Ohio resident, born in Columbus, an alumnus of The Ohio State University, and a former member of its marching band, TBDBITL.
