Patrick Justin McAfee, born on May 2, 1987, in Plum, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Pittsburgh, to parents Tim and Sally McAfee, is a former NFL punter turned sports talk radio host, ESPN/YouTube personality, television presenter, sports analyst, and television producer. He attended Plum High School, excelling in football, soccer, and volleyball, before earning a scholarship to West Virginia University, where he played as a punter and was a 2008 Ray Guy Award finalist after leading the Big East with a 44.7 yards per punt average and 23 punts inside the 20-yard line. McAfee participated in the 2009 Senior Bowl and was selected by the Indianapolis Colts in the seventh round of the 2009 NFL Draft, playing eight seasons as a punter and kickoff specialist with Pro Bowl selections in 2012 and 2014. After retiring from the NFL, he launched The Pat McAfee Show, which airs on ESPN, and serves as an analyst on College GameDay. He has also engaged with WWE as a color commentator for Raw and an occasional wrestler, though he is currently on hiatus from wrestling, expanding his influence across sports media and entertainment.
