Michelle Malkin (née Maglalang) is an American conservative political commentator, author, columnist, blogger, pundit, and journalist. Born on October 20, 1970, to Filipino immigrant parents who arrived in the United States on an employer-sponsored visa shortly before her birth, she grew up in the U.S., attending Holy Spirit Roman Catholic High School and graduating from Oberlin College in 1992 with a B.A. in English. Her journalism career began at the Los Angeles Daily News as a columnist from 1992 to 1994, followed by a journalism fellowship at the Competitive Enterprise Institute in Washington, D.C., in 1995. In 1996, she moved to Seattle, Washington. Malkin has authored seven books and founded the conservative websites Hot Air and Twitchy. She served as a Fox News contributor and joined Newsmax TV in May 2020. She has also produced shows like Michelle Malkin Investigates (2016) and Michelle Malkin Sovereign Nation (2020). She married Jesse Dylan Malkin on July 24, 1993. Malkin is known for her commentary on immigration, political correctness, and conservative issues.
