Born on September 11, 1967, in Brooklyn, New York, USA, she began her career at CNN as a producer for five years before joining CNBC in 1993, where she spent 20 years on-air, hosting shows like Closing Bell, On the Money with Maria Bartiromo, and Squawk Box, and becoming the first television journalist to report live from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. She transitioned to Fox Business Network and Fox News Channel, where she is an anchor and hosts Mornings with Maria (6-9 AM ET weekdays), Maria Bartiromo's Wall Street, and Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo. With over 25 years covering business and the economy, she has appeared in films such as Arbitrage (2012), Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps (2010), and The Taking of Pelham 123 (2009), and has been married to Jonathan Steinberg since the early 1990s.
