LAZOS is an organization connecting young Latin American Jews, founded by ROI member Diego Goldman and funded by Schusterman. It operates as a regional platform hosting annual summits, leadership training workshops, and mentorship pairings to empower participants in advancing Jewish communal initiatives. It convenes members from countries including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela, fostering cross-border collaborations on topics like Jewish education, Israel engagement, and social entrepreneurship. The organization emphasizes building skills in fundraising, project management, and public speaking through tailored programs. With a membership exceeding 250 alumni, LAZOS alumni hold influential positions in Jewish federations, synagogues, NGOs, and businesses across Latin America. It partners with local Jewish institutions and international networks to amplify impact, such as co-hosting events with ROI Community and other ROI ventures. The network promotes gender diversity and inclusivity, with cohorts selected via competitive applications. LAZOS maintains an active online presence and publishes resources like leadership toolkits and impact reports to support ongoing member projects.
