Klara Silverstein, born February 22, 1933, is the wife of Larry A. Silverstein. A former school teacher and Hunter College alumna, she supported the family financially during Larry's law school years. She is a philanthropist actively involved in New York's Jewish community organizations, holding a wide range of leadership roles. Together with her husband, she has contributed significantly as a Distinguished Benefactor to the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw since January 2013 and supports the New Jewish Home, focusing on education, medical research, humanitarian needs, and the arts. After more than 30 years in their Park Avenue apartment, Klara and Larry relocated to 30 Park Place in New York City, embracing the transformation of the downtown area post-9/11.
