About
John David McEntee II (born May 9, 1990) is a former Director of the White House Presidential Personnel Office under Donald Trump. He rose to prominence as a loyal aide to Trump, starting with a viral YouTube trick-shot football video from his time as a quarterback at the University of Connecticut. He worked as a production assistant at Fox News before joining the Trump 2016 campaign, where he advanced to become Trump's personal aide or 'body man,' earning an annual salary of $115,000. In March 2018, he was dismissed from the White House by Chief of Staff John F. Kelly after failing a security clearance background check, amid a Department of Homeland Security investigation into gambling-related issues. He later served as Director of the White House Presidential Personnel Office before leaving the administration and has since been described as an entrepreneur and continued as a Trump loyalist post-administration.
