Jeannette Mary Schmidt (born 1951) is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives (2021–present). She previously served as a Republican U.S. Representative from Ohio's 2nd congressional district (2005–2013). Earlier in her career, she was a member of the Ohio House of Representatives (2000–2004) and a trustee for Miami Township, Ohio (1989–2000). Before entering politics, she worked in the private sector as a branch manager at her father's bank, the Midwestern Savings Association (1971–1978). Schmidt has also served as President of the Cincinnati Right to Life, as a board member for the Clermont County Public Library, and has taught Government and the Constitution at Chatfield College. During her congressional tenure, she assisted Binik-Thomas in seeking answers from the IRS about his being named in a questionnaire.
