About
The International Gynecologic Cancer Society (IGCS), established in 1987 as a not-for-profit organization following a 1985 meeting in London, England, where physicians discussed forming a society for gynecologic oncology, and the Fourth International Conference on Gynecologic Cancer in 1986, is a global professional organization dedicated to gynecologic oncology research and education. It unites interdisciplinary professionals including gynecologic oncologists, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, pathologists, allied health providers, and researchers committed to gynecologic cancer care. The IGCS operates as a forum for worldwide exchange of scientific information and promotes global health equity. It is associated with the International Journal of Gynecological Cancer and hosts annual global meetings, such as IGCS 2025 in Cape Town, South Africa, November 5-7.
