The European Society of Gynaecological Oncology (ESGO) is a non-profit organization founded in Venice, Italy, in 1983, dedicated to the study and treatment of gynecological cancers. It serves as a Europe-wide society for health care professionals and researchers in gynaecological oncology. ESGO maintains offices in Brussels, Belgium (advocacy and EU grants: Avenue Emmanuel Mounier 83/11, 1200 Brussels) and Prague, Czech Republic (operations: YMCA Palace, Na Porici 12/1041, 110 00 Prague). It operates networks including ENGOT (European Network of Gynaecological Oncological Trial Groups for clinical trials), ENYGO (European Network of Young Gynaecological Oncologists), ENGAGe (patient advocacy), EUTROC, and ENTRIGO. ESGO hosts an annual congress attracting over 1,500 participants. The current council (2026-2028) is led by President Jalid Sehouli (Germany).
