Daniel Wurmser is an American Physical Science Officer and policy specialist in the U.S. Department of State, with several decades of federal service focused on international security, nuclear nonproliferation, and strategic trade controls. His work involves managing the export of sensitive technologies, ensuring compliance with international regimes to prevent the spread of weapons of mass destruction, and representing the United States in multilateral fora such as the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) and the Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR). Beyond his administrative and diplomatic roles, he is an author and researcher contributing to the technical understanding of nuclear materials and security protocols, including co-authored publications on the physical protection of nuclear facilities and the management of spent nuclear fuel.
