About
Joseph Albert 'Dallas' Sonnier IV (born March 31, 1980) is an American film producer, publisher, and businessman born in Dallas, Texas, to Becky and Dr. Joseph Sonnier, who relocated from Shreveport, Louisiana, just before his birth. He began his career as a talent agent in Hollywood before co-founding Caliber Media in California with partner Jack Heller. Motivated to bring major film productions to Texas, he returned to his hometown of Dallas in 2015 and founded the Dallas-based production company Cinestate in 2016. His producing credits include Bone Tomahawk (2015), Brawl in Cell Block 99 (2017), The Standoff at Sparrow Creek (2018), Dragged Across Concrete (2019), VFW, Shut In, Terror on the Prairie, Run Hide Fight, and Lady Ballers. He has collaborated professionally with Jeremy Boreing on multiple The Daily Wire projects, including Run Hide Fight and Lady Ballers. In 2018, Sonnier acquired the rights to the defunct horror magazine Fangoria, relaunched it as a print-only publication, and served as its publisher until 2020, while expanding the brand into publishing and film production. Currently, he is Chief Executive Officer and Movie Producer at Bonfire Legend.
