Charles Brandon Creighton, commonly known as Brandon Creighton, is an American lawyer and Republican politician who has had a distinguished career in Texas public service. He began his political career in the Texas House of Representatives, where he represented the 16th district from 2007 to 2014, focusing on issues pertinent to his constituents in the Greater Houston area, including education, economic development, and conservative fiscal policies. In 2014, he advanced to the Texas Senate, representing the 4th district until 2025, where he served on key committees and advocated for property rights, energy policy, and limiting government overreach. In 2025, he was elected president pro tempore of the Texas Senate and transitioned from elected office to become Chancellor of the Texas Tech University System.
