Paul Lindsey Sadler is an American attorney and former Democratic politician born on April 29, 1955, in Henderson, Texas. He served as a Democratic member of the Texas House of Representatives from 1991 to 2003, representing District 9, where he focused on education and public policy issues. After leaving the legislature due to term limits, Sadler continued his legal career and became involved in education reform, serving on the board of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and advocating for public education funding. In 2012, he was the Democratic nominee for the United States Senate in Texas, challenging Republican incumbent Ted Cruz; he received approximately 41% of the vote but lost the election. Now residing in Bandera, Texas, Sadler has largely stepped back from electoral politics but remains active in legal and community affairs.
