Bonnie Glick is an American diplomat and the sister of Caroline Glick. She served for 12 years as a Foreign Service Officer at the United States Department of State before transitioning to the private sector, where she worked as a global account executive at IBM and co-authored three patents as part of IBM Research. Nominated by President Donald Trump in April 2018, she was confirmed unanimously by the U.S. Senate in January 2019 to serve as Deputy Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), a position she held until November 2020. Following her government service, she became an adjunct senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD). Glick holds a B.A. in Government/International Relations from Cornell University, an M.A. in International Affairs from Columbia University, and an MBA from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. She is reported to speak seven languages, reflecting her extensive diplomatic background.
