About
Ben-Dror Yemini, born on April 17, 1954, in Tel Aviv to a Yemenite Jewish family, is a prominent Israeli journalist, columnist, newspaper editor, opinion writer, political activist, and publicist. He studied Humanities and History at Tel Aviv University, followed by a degree in law. After university, he worked as an advisor to the Israeli Minister of Immigration Absorption and then as spokesman for the Ministry before entering journalism. Yemini began his journalism career at the daily newspaper Maariv, becoming editor of the opinion section in 2003 and maintaining a blog on the newspaper's website from 2009 to 2014. In spring 2014, he transitioned to writing for Yedioth Ahronoth (Ynet) and also publishes articles in English for The Times of Israel. He is known for advocating pro-Israel positions on security issues and critiquing media bias, as reflected in his work and relationships such as quoting Yaakov Amidror.
