Batya Medad is a New York-born Jewish educator, blogger, political pundit, and activist. Raised in a relatively assimilated Jewish home in New York, she discovered Torah Judaism in high school through NCSY (National Conference of Synagogue Youth), Jewish activism through SSSJ (Student Struggle for Soviet Jewry), and Zionism through Betar. She made aliyah weeks after her 1970 wedding and has lived in Israel since 1970 and in the Shiloh settlement since 1981. She is the wife of Yisrael Medad and has worked in diverse professions including teaching, fitness, sales, cooking, public relations, and photography.
