The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, also known as the Joint or JDC, is a global Jewish humanitarian organization based in New York City. Founded in 1914, it provides aid, relief, and support to Jewish communities worldwide, especially in times of crisis. The organization has supported Jewish people living in Israel and throughout the world since its founding and is currently active in more than 70 countries.
