About
Zygmunt "Zygi" Wilf, born April 22, 1950, in Germany to Holocaust survivor parents, is an Israeli-American billionaire businessman, real estate developer, philanthropist, and sports franchise owner. Shortly after his birth, his family immigrated to the United States and settled in Hillside, New Jersey, where his father Joseph Wilf and uncle Harry Wilf established Garden Homes, a real estate development firm responsible for thousands of residential and commercial properties across the country. Wilf pursued a legal education and became a lawyer before joining the family business full-time. He is the older brother of Mark Wilf and serves as chairman and principal owner of the Minnesota Vikings NFL franchise, a position he assumed in 2005 along with his brother when they purchased the team. Under their ownership, significant developments such as the construction of U.S. Bank Stadium occurred. Wilf is also the majority owner of Major League Soccer's Orlando City SC. With a net worth estimated at $1.3 billion derived primarily from real estate and sports investments, he is deeply committed to philanthropy, particularly Jewish educational and outreach initiatives, including Aish.com, as well as pro-Israel causes. His family’s Holocaust survivor background motivates his involvement in memorial and educational projects related to the Holocaust. While maintaining a low public profile, Wilf wields considerable influence across real estate, sports, and charitable networks through family foundations.
