About
Dr. Zohar Raviv is an Israeli educator and thought leader specializing in Jewish studies and Israel education. He holds an MA in Judaic studies and Jewish education from Brandeis University (Hornstein Program, 2000) and a PhD in Jewish Thought from the University of Michigan (2007). His career includes serving as an education shaliach (emissary) from Israel to North America and South Africa; faculty at Spertus Institute of Jewish Studies in Chicago; Hebrew University Florence Melton Scholar in Residence to North America; and Assistant Professor of Jewish Studies at Oberlin College (starting 2009). He is the recipient of the Bernard Reisman Professional Excellence Award from the Hornstein Program at Brandeis University (2015). Currently, he serves as International Vice President of Educational Strategy for Taglit-Birthright Israel.
