Yossi Kuperwasser (born 1953) is an Israeli intelligence and security expert with a distinguished military and governmental career. He served as a brigadier general in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), where he was head of the Research Division (Research Department) in the Military Intelligence Directorate (Aman) from 2001 to 2006, responsible for intelligence assessments and strategic analysis during a period marked by the Second Intifada and emerging regional threats. Following his retirement from the IDF, he held roles including Director General of the Ministry of Strategic Affairs (appointed in 2013) and director of its Strategic Division, focusing on countering the BDS movement and promoting Israel's strategic interests abroad. He is also a senior researcher at MEMRI and director of its Jerusalem branch.
