About
Yair Netanyahu (born 26 July 1991 in Jerusalem) is an Israeli podcaster, political activist, and journalist, best known as the eldest son of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara Netanyahu. He is the second child of the couple, has a younger brother, Avner Netanyahu, and a half-sister from his father's previous marriage.
He served in the Israel Defense Forces' Spokesman's Unit in the international press department. Yair has gained prominence through an active social media presence—particularly on Telegram—where he publishes political commentary often aligned with his father's views, promotes his father's communications, and engages in public discourse on Israeli politics, society, and the influence of the Netanyahu family. His posts have included messages blaming courts and security services for the October 7, 2023 events. He lives with his parents and is frequently described as an influencer-activist.
His activity has attracted controversy, including involvement in a WikiLeaks-related episode and proposed appointments to positions such as the World Zionist Organization that faced opposition and stalled negotiations. He has also frequently criticized media outlets such as Channel 12, which he has accused of inciting against him.
