Yaakov Hagoel (born February 19, 1971, in Tel Aviv, Israel) is an Israeli public figure, politician, and diplomat known for his leadership in Jewish and Zionist organizations. He has served as Chairman of the World Zionist Organization since 2020 and as its World Chairman since 2022, overseeing global Jewish outreach and pro-Israel initiatives. Hagoel has also held key roles within the Jewish Agency for Israel, including head of its Israel office and acting chairman. His leadership experience extends to youth movements, where he was Chairman of the World Zionist Youth Movement Council and Executive Director/CEO of World Betar. Early in his career, he focused on education and community leadership, volunteering in Ofakim for a year before serving in the Israel Defense Forces' Nahal unit and later in the reserves with the Gaza Division. As a member of the Likud party and a right-wing political operative, Hagoel advocates for aliyah (Jewish immigration to Israel), strengthening ties between Israel and the Jewish diaspora, and combating antisemitism worldwide through education, community building, and political engagement.
