About
Charles Williams Cain, known professionally as Will Cain, is a conservative media personality and former attorney. Born in Sherman, Texas, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in telecommunications cum laude from Pepperdine University in 1997, where he played water polo as a walk-on, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law in 2000. After law school, he worked as a ranch hand in Montana; following his father's death in 2001, he returned to the Dallas area to care for his younger brother and entered media ownership, buying and starting community newspapers before selling them to Stephens Media. Around 2006, he founded Quince Media, a Hispanic-focused media company publishing magazines, websites, and events about quinceañeras, which he later sold.
Cain began his on-air career in politics, contributing to CNN as a fill-in host for In the Arena in 2011, Blaze Media, and appearing on ABC's The View. He joined ESPN in 2015 as a contributor for features and E:60, a frequent guest on Outside the Lines and First Take, radio host of Will and Kate with Kate Fagan, and host of The Will Cain Show on ESPN Radio from 2018 to 2020. One of ESPN's few conservative voices, he was initially critical of Donald Trump (not voting for him in 2016) but shifted to support by 2024, calling Trump 'likable' and praising his policies; in 2022, he described Joe Biden as 'the worst president of my lifetime.'
Cain joined Fox News in 2020, where he co-hosts Fox & Friends Weekend with Pete Hegseth, launched The Will Cain Podcast in 2021, served as fill-in host for The Five and Jesse Watters Primetime, was interim host of Fox News Tonight in 2023, and became permanent host of The Will Cain Show weekdays at 4 p.m. ET starting January 21, 2025.
Personally, Cain is married to Kathleen Cain, whom he met in college, and they have two sons, Charlie and Wes (also referred to as West). No major legal issues, controversies, or scandals are documented.
