The Utah Abortion Fund (UAF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and regional abortion fund that assists Utah residents in obtaining abortion care by covering costs such as procedures, travel, lodging, childcare, and recovery needs. It offers financial aid, emotional support through peer counseling, and logistical assistance. UAF is affiliated with the National Network of Abortion Funds (NNAF) and operates primarily through volunteers. In December 2023, UAF lost approximately $250,000 in pledged grants—hundreds of thousands of dollars—from the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Philanthropies after its executive director signed an open letter organized by the U.S. Campaign for Palestinian Rights calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
