Tuvia Zaretsky was born in Haifa, Israel, in 1946 and immigrated to the United States in 1965 at the age of 19. He came to faith in Jesus Christ in 1966 while studying at Columbia Bible College (now Columbia International University) and subsequently pursued theological training, earning a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary. As a Messianic Jew, Zaretsky dedicated his life to evangelism among Jewish people, contributing extensively through writings, conferences, and organizational leadership in the field of Jewish missions. He has served as Director of Staff Training and Chairman of the Lausanne Consultation on Jewish Evangelism (LCJE). Zaretsky has been a prolific author and speaker on topics related to Jewish evangelism, emphasizing the need for cultural sensitivity and theological clarity in outreach to Jewish communities. He has participated in numerous international consultations and has advocated for unity among evangelical organizations targeting Jewish audiences. His work spans decades, influencing global strategies for Messianic missions. Throughout his ministry, Zaretsky has resided primarily in the United States, with activities centered in California and other areas with significant Jewish populations. He is fluent in Hebrew and English, leveraging his native language skills in his evangelistic efforts.
