Todd F. Gaziano is the President of the Center for Individual Rights, appointed on August 21, 2023. He holds a B.A. summa cum laude from West Virginia University (1985) and a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School (1988), where he was a John M. Olin Fellow in Law and Economics. His career includes serving as Founding Director and Senior Fellow at The Heritage Foundation (with a 1998 C-SPAN appearance), former Senior Fellow in Constitutional Law at the Pacific Legal Foundation, Executive Director of its Washington, D.C. Center, and attorney at the Department of Justice. Gaziano's expertise encompasses legal and judicial reform, racial preferences, and related issues; he has authored articles and op-eds, testified before Congress and legislative bodies, and frequently comments on legal matters for print, network, cable, and radio programs.
