About
Timothy C. Parlatore is a U.S. Navy veteran and prominent trial attorney specializing in white-collar defense, criminal defense, investigations, and civil litigation. He founded Parlatore Law Group, a nationwide cloud-based law firm based in New York. In 2017, he represented Fox News host Pete Hegseth in a sexual assault settlement. Parlatore is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and Brooklyn Law School (J.D. 2008, admitted to the bar in 2009). He served as a Surface Warfare Officer on active duty, including overseas deployment, before transferring to the reserves to attend law school. After a 12-year break in service, he was recommissioned into the U.S. Navy Reserve Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps as a part-time Lieutenant Commander in 2025 by Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. Notable clients include Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher (successful defense featured on 60 Minutes), former President Donald Trump (classified documents probe, from which Parlatore resigned in 2023 citing team infighting), and suspended Judge Steven Stambaugh (fraud and witness tampering charges). He has been criticized for potential conflicts of interest due to his dual roles as Hegseth's personal attorney and Navy JAG officer (Politico, 2025). Parlatore has also been involved in his own civil litigation, such as Parlatore v. Montalvo (2022).
