Terry Schilling is an American conservative activist and political operative, best known as the president of the American Principles Project (APP), a socially conservative 501(c)(4) political advocacy group founded in 2009. He is the son of the late former U.S. Representative Bobby Schilling, who served as a Republican congressman for Illinois' 17th district from 2011 to 2013. Schilling's early career involved working for prominent pro-family political leaders, including Senator Sam Brownback (R-KS) and Representative Chris Smith (R-NJ), as well as managing his father's successful congressional campaign. With over a decade of experience in sales and marketing copywriting, print, and broadcast journalism, Schilling has also ventured into media production, serving as a producer for projects such as 'Culture War: Consequences of a Woke War Machine' (2024), 'Fides Show with Jerry Cirino' (2020), and 'Wake Up America Weekend' (2021). In addition to his role at APP, where he has led the organization since at least 2020, Schilling serves as chairman of the DonorsTrust board, a donor-advised fund supporting conservative causes, and as president of the National Federation of Republican Assemblies, a grassroots organization promoting Republican principles. His work focuses on advancing socially conservative policies, including opposition to progressive social agendas.
