Tamara Chalabi is an Iraqi-British historian and author with a PhD in history from Harvard University. She is the daughter of Ahmad Chalabi and has written the family memoir 'Late for Tea at the Deer Palace,' which details the Chalabi family history, including her accompaniment of her father to Baghdad in 2003, ten days after the city's fall following the US-led invasion, when she was approximately 29 years old. She has contributed articles to publications including The Wall Street Journal, The New Republic, Slate, and The Sunday Times. Chalabi is the co-founder and Chair of the Ruya Foundation for Contemporary Culture in Iraq, supporting contemporary art initiatives such as the Iraq Pavilion at the 57th Venice Biennale with the project 'ARCHAIC.' She has also produced the film 'Girls & The Party' (2021), bridging academia, journalism, cultural philanthropy, and media production centered on Iraqi heritage and post-exile reconnection.
