About
Talya Lador-Fresher (Hebrew: טליה לדור-פרשר) is a senior Israeli career diplomat. Born in Petah Tikva, Israel, she served in the Israeli intelligence sector from 1981-1983 and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Political Science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (1984-1987). She joined Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1989, with early postings in Jamaica and New York (Consulate General, information/public affairs). In Jerusalem, she worked in the World Jewish Affairs Department of the MFA and as Adviser on world Jewish affairs in the Office of the President of Israel. During the 2000s, she held senior roles in European and economic affairs at the MFA and served as Minister Plenipotentiary at the Embassy of Israel in London. From 2010-2015, she was Chief of State Protocol and Head of Protocol and Official Guests Bureau at the MFA, preceding Reuben in that role. She then served as Ambassador to Austria (concurrent to Slovenia) and Permanent Representative to the UN/IAEA/CTBTO in Vienna from 2015-2019. In January 2020, she was Chargé d'affaires ad interim at the Embassy of Israel in Paris, followed by her role as Head of the Europe Division at the MFA. Since September 2023, she has been Consul General of Israel in Munich (southern Germany). She is married to journalist Eldad Fresher and has two children.
