After completing his mandatory military service, he married at age 20 and in 1968 joined his father-in-law's small business installing intercoms and television antennas. Elovitch expanded the business, founding Eurocom Communications Ltd. in 1979 where he served as Chairman, and later Eurocom Holdings & Investments Ltd. He is the owner of Eurocom Group, one of the largest private holding groups in Israel, and became the controlling shareholder of Bezeq, Israel's largest telecommunications company, and owner of the Walla news website through his holdings.
