Shari Ellin Redstone (born April 14, 1954) is an American heiress, attorney, businesswoman, and media executive. She is the daughter of Sumner Redstone, the late billionaire founder of National Amusements, and has played a pivotal role in the family's media empire. Redstone began her career practicing corporate, estate, and criminal law in Boston after earning her degrees from Boston University. She transitioned into the family business, rising to become chairwoman, president, and CEO of National Amusements, the holding company that controls a majority voting stake in Paramount Global (formerly ViacomCBS). Through this position, she oversees major entertainment assets including CBS, Comedy Central, BET, Showtime Networks, Nickelodeon, MTV, and Paramount Pictures. Redstone has been instrumental in key corporate decisions, such as mergers and acquisitions that shaped the modern media landscape.
