Seymour George Epstein was a long-time employee of the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, where he worked as a groundskeeper and gardener. He is best known as the father of the disgraced financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Seymour lived a largely private, middle-class life in Sea Gate, a gated community in Coney Island, Brooklyn, along with his wife Pauline and their two sons.
