About
Scott Montgomery, originally from New England, began his professional career after high school with a job at a bakery, leading to twenty years in the food industry where he advanced to District Manager and National Account Manager for Aramark/ServiceMaster Facility Services. In 1991, he married his wife Renee, and the couple relocated south through South Carolina and Baton Rouge, Louisiana, spending a few years in South Korea before settling in Birmingham, Alabama, at 5557 Heath Row Drive. In 2001, the Montgomerys helped launch a new church in Birmingham, where Scott served on staff as Missions Pastor and Capital Projects Manager for fourteen years, connecting the local community to global Gospel efforts and managing the acquisition and development of several church properties across Alabama. Stepping down from church staff in 2019, Scott and Renee founded SOAR Global, a nonprofit dedicated to advocating for unreached peoples by fostering connections between resource providers and those in need, including fundraising to sustain ministry work. Leveraging his extensive ministry and marketplace background, Montgomery serves as Chief Operating Officer, Secretary, and Treasurer of the Frontier Alliance International (FAI) board of directors, alongside Joel Richardson, handling financial oversight for the ministry's mission of disciple-making among the least-reached, particularly in the 10/40 Window, driven by a passion reflected in Romans 15:20.
