Scott Galloway, born November 3, 1964, in Los Angeles, California, is an American serial entrepreneur, marketing professor at New York University Stern School of Business, bestselling author, and media personality known for his incisive critiques of big tech, higher education, and consumer brands. He founded Prophet, a brand consultancy sold to BGT Partners in 2000; RedEnvelope, an e-commerce gift site; and L2 Inc., a digital intelligence firm acquired by Gartner for $155 million in 2017.
