Canada's national police force responsible for federal law enforcement, counter-terrorism investigations, national security intelligence gathering, and contract policing services in most provinces and territories except Ontario and Quebec. The RCMP provides an array of services including municipal policing, crime detection, and operates facilities like crime-detection laboratories and the identification branch available to other authorized police forces. It also sponsors the Canadian Police College for training members of the force and external agencies.
