Rick Matros is the Board Chair of IsraAID (US) and CEO and Chairman of Sabra Health Care REIT, a major healthcare real estate investment trust. He holds a Master of Science in Gerontology (MSG) from the University of Southern California (1977), where he was one of the school's first graduates. His early career includes roles as Chief Operating Officer, Director, and Executive Vice President—Operations at Care Enterprises, Inc. (1988-1994); Chief Executive Officer, President, Director, and Chief Operating Officer at Regency Health Services, Inc. (1994-1997); Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and President of Bright Now! Dental (1998-2000), where he served as Director until its sale in December 2010; Member of the Management Committee at CareMeridian, LLC (1998-2006), a healthcare company specializing in subacute/skilled nursing for traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and catastrophic injuries; and Chair of the Board and Chief Executive Officer at Sun Healthcare Group, Inc. (2001-November 2010), until Sabra's inception. Additionally, he serves as Executive Producer at Sabra Films, LLC, and co-executive producer of the Emmy-winning documentary Legacy: The True Story of the LA Lakers (2023, Sports Documentary category). He is a Director at the USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology. His philanthropy and nonprofit roles include Board member of Girls Inc. of Orange County (joined ~2024), Board member of Art Over Hate Collective, Director of the Hillel Foundation of Orange County, Director of Artists 4 Israel, Inc., Member of the National Board of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), and Member of the Governors Board of the ALEH Foundation, Inc.
