Raya Strauss Ben-Dror is an Israeli philanthropic social entrepreneur, businesswoman, and leading social activist, closely associated with the Strauss family that founded Strauss Food Industries, which grew from a backyard dairy farm with two cows into one of Israel's largest food conglomerates and a global organization. Born in Nahariya to parents Dr. Richard Strauss and Hilde Strauss, who immigrated in 1936 as Zionist pioneers during the Fifth Aliyah along with her brother Michael, she attended WIZO high school there and was active in the United Movement youth group, serving as a commander in the HaPoel Nahariya sea scouts. She serves as president and co-owner of Strauss Investment Company, channeling her influence into supporting the Galilee region, Israeli culture, dance companies like the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company, and dozens of social organizations through her dedicated philanthropy and boundless energy. An ardent supporter of Israel, she is recognized for driving growth and change in the Galilee.
