Rabbi Daniel Lapin is an American Orthodox rabbi, author, and speaker, known for his conservative views on religion, politics, and economics. Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1947, he received his rabbinic ordination after studying at Yeshiva College of Johannesburg, Gateshead Yeshiva in the UK, and a Jerusalem Yeshiva. He immigrated to the United States in the 1970s, where he co-founded the Pacific Jewish Center in Venice, California, alongside his brother, Rabbi David Lapin, establishing a notable presence in the American Jewish community.
