Born in 1954 in New York, Rabbi Bentzion Kravitz attended the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in communications, before earning his degree from the Rabbinical College of America and becoming a rabbi. He is the founder of Jews for Judaism, a counter-missionary organization that promotes Jewish pride, critical thinking, and efforts to strengthen Jewish identity while countering missionary activities targeted at Jews. Kravitz has been instrumental in initiatives that help Jews reconnect with their faith and resist conversion efforts. He resides in Los Angeles, where he also serves as a police chaplain and reserve officer, extending his community involvement beyond religious counter-missionary work.
