Paul D. Boehm is an environmental scientist and local government official based in Concord, Massachusetts. He has served on the Concord Select Board and numerous other committees over the past 15+ years, including the Recreation Commission, Community Preservation Committee, NMI-Starmet Re-use Planning Commission, Warner’s Pond Task Force, 2229 Main Street Advisory Task Force, Transportation Advisory Committee (as Select Board liaison), Land Use Working Group, and Bias and Hate Incident Reporting Work Group. As a member of the Select Board, he acknowledged community 'complacency' about antisemitism following an ADL complaint. Boehm moved to West Concord in 1976 with his wife, Ellen, where they raised three children: Jesse, Adrienne (Boardman), and Meredith (Palusci). His daughters returned to Concord as adults to raise their families, and Boehm now has six grandchildren, four of whom attend Thoreau Elementary School. He resides on Ridgewood Road in Concord, MA, is a member of Kerem Shalom synagogue, and is active in the local Jewish community. Key positions include Principal Scientist at Exponent (Burlington, MA; 2004–present), Corporate Vice President and Managing Director of the Environmental, Health, and Safety Division at Arthur D. Little, Inc. (Cambridge, MA; 1989–2001), Research Leader and Vice President at Battelle Memorial Institute (1983–1989), and Principal Scientist at Energy Resources Company (1976–1983). He has consulted on major oil spills (e.g., Exxon Valdez, Deepwater Horizon), served on National Research Council committees, and is an associate editor for Marine Pollution Bulletin and Environmental Forensics Journal, with affiliations in the American Chemical Society (ACS) and Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC).
