Pamela Nadler Emmerich is the National President of American Friends of the Hebrew University, a key leadership figure overseeing the board. She was raised in Montreal, Canada, where she lived as a teenager in 1974 before traveling to Jerusalem for her freshman year of studies. Her education includes attendance at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Rothberg School for Overseas Students) in 1974, a Bachelor of Arts in Judaic Studies from McGill University (1975-1978), studies at the University of Toronto (class of 1981), Columbia University (class of 1984), New York University School of Law, and The Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS). Prior to her leadership role in Jewish communal organizations, she practiced law, beginning her career at Davis Polk & Wardwell in 1984 and later at Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue. She resides in the New York City metropolitan area.
