About
Noah Leikind is an actor, playwright, and theater educator based in Boston. Raised in Newton, Massachusetts, he is the son of Ellen Jawitz and Robert Leikind (Director of AJC New England). He attended Newton North High School (class of 2020), where he participated in theater productions including Hello, Dolly! (as Barnaby Tucker) and Doubt. A graduate of Brandeis University (class of 2024) with a major in theater arts, a minor in creative writing, and summa cum laude honors, Leikind performed in university productions such as Twelfth Night (Malvolio, 2023), Orlando, Stupid Fking Bird, Macbeth (Hold Thy Peace), and No Exit with the Undergraduate Theater Collective. His other credits include Romeo & Juliet (Friar, Commonwealth Shakespeare Company) and Julius Caesar (British American Drama Academy, London, 2022). As a playwright, he has written works inspired by his family's history, including his senior thesis play Farewell to the World I Know (2024), based on his grandmother's childhood in 1930s Germany. He holds German citizenship by descent, despite never having visited Germany, and is likely Jewish. Leikind is also a member of the Brandeis a cappella group Rather Be Giraffes (baritone, with a solo in 'Yesterday'). Post-graduation, he works with the Newton Theatre Company Kids in roles including theatre educator and front of house. Instagram: @noah_leikind.
