Mor Shapiro (née Toledano) is an Israeli-American medical doctor specializing in family medicine, of Moroccan Jewish descent. Born in Israel and raised in an Orthodox Jewish family, she immigrated to the United States for her higher education. She pursued her undergraduate studies in psychobiology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she also conducted research in developmental neuroscience, utilizing functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to investigate the effects of early-life adversity on childhood brain development. Mor then advanced to UCLA's David Geffen School of Medicine, earning her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. During her medical school years, she served as a Clinical Skills Instructor, gaining practical experience in medical education.
